Nel nuovo Dewar’s 12 Anni la ricetta rimane invariata. Abbiamo invece modificato il processo di doppia maturazione per aumentare la morbidezza e amplificare le note aromatiche esistenti. La seconda fase della doppia maturazione avviene ora in botti di bourbon di primo riempimento ‘attive’. Il primo riempimento significa che le usiamo per prime e il rovere trattiene molto più aroma, rilasciando note più ricche di vaniglia, frutta secca e agrumi nel whisky. Il nuovo Dewar’s 12 Anni è realizzato dalla miglior master blender al mondo, Stephanie Macleod.

In the new Dewar’s 12 Year Old the recipe remains unchanged. Instead, we’ve modified the double ageing process to increase smoothness and amplify existing flavour notes. The second stage of double ageing is now conducted in ‘active’ 1st fill bourbon casks. 1st fill means we use them first and the oak retains far more flavour, releasing richer vanilla, dried fruit and citrus notes into the whisky. The new Dewar´s 12 Year Old is made by the world´s best masterblender, Stephanie Macleod.
