Why is it called Monkey Shoulder? It comes from whiskey lore: the name is inspired by-and affectionately dedicated to-a temporary injury that malt men suffered years ago from turning malt by hand. The repeated gesture made the arm hang down, like a monkey's - hence the nickname. Fortunately, working conditions have changed and this condition no longer exists, but we are proud to honor our heritage.
