Founded in 1885 in Colle Val D'Elsa, in the province of Siena, Masoni Pietro is the oldest producer of traditional Siena specialties, recently recognized by the PGI denomination: Panforte di Siena and Ricciarelli di Siena. Masoni's Panforte di Siena PGI, previously known as Panforte Margherita, was created starting from the original version of Panforte called "Panpepato," making it delicate and more suitable for a wider audience on the occasion of Queen Margherita's visit to Siena in 1887. Delicious candied fruits, almonds and a mix of spices make Masoni's Panforte di Siena PGI a unique specialty. Ideal to taste it in combination with sweet wines or even with coffee.
