In Tuscany, Vin Santo is the wine of friendship and hospitality, and it always takes center stage when there is a toast to be made. Made from Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grapes. The well-ripened grapes are partially dried and the must is transferred to typical oak barrels (Caratelli) for at least 3 years. In this way, Vin Santo naturally acquires its alcohol and sugar content, while its unique organoleptic characteristics are fully expressed. An excellent dessert wine, it is very enjoyable on its own at the end of a meal, but traditionally pairs perfectly with dry cookies such as Tuscan Cantucci. Serve at 8-10°C.
