A far cry from the delicate, innocent bloom of the garden of the same name, Rose in Wonderland is an ultra-engineered super rose that is earthy, but not of this earth. Created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, it is a striking reconstruction of the rose that enhances every facet of the iconic flower. The green, thorny stem of the rose is interpreted in the verdant structure of the fragrance, composed of blackcurrant buds at the top, geranium essence in the heart, and vetiver in the base. The fragrance also changes from a delicate and luminous rose dew accord at the top to the dark and voluptuous honey and tobacco accents of the exclusive Rosa Centifolia in the heart, before base notes of velvety white musk and crystalline amber complete the fatal floral character of the fragrance.
