The glow of the charcoal is at the heart of what separates our Tennessee whiskey from the bourbons. Jack insisted that each drop of our whiskey should be slowly lowered through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, a process that takes three to five days to complete. The charcoal acts as a filter, removing impurities and bitterness, numbing the whiskey so that its natural flavor shines through. For Gentleman Jack, we introduce a second charcoal marbling process after maturation known as DoubleBlellowing, intended to refine the whiskey into a sophisticated subtle offering. The result of this double edge is Gentleman Jack's exceptionally smooth, well-balanced and refined whisky.
