In Tuscany, Vin Santo is the wine of friendship and hospitality, and it always takes center stage when a toast is planned. Made from Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grapes. The well-ripened grapes are partially dried and the must is transferred to the typical oak barrel (Caratelli) for at least 3 years. In this way the Vin Santo naturally acquires its alcohol and sugar content and expresses its unique organoleptic qualities. An excellent dessert wine, it is very enjoyable on its own at the end of a meal but traditionally goes very well with dry pastries such as Tuscan cantucci. Serve at 8-10°C.
