The entire haute couture collection is created in Versace's Milanese atelier, beginning with aesthetic research and visionary design and culminating in hundreds of hours of meticulous handcrafting. Atelier has always represented a celebration of origins for Versace, a reminder of Gianni and Donatella's mother, a seamstress who passed on the family sartorial traditions from her atelier. The tireless pursuit of the highest quality materials and craftsmanship has resulted in the creation of a line of six exclusive and luxurious fragrances bearing the name Atelier Versace. They embody the Atelier's absolute dedication to excellence, encapsulating a studious approach to exceptional quality components, innovative techniques, craftsmanship and the distinctive Atelier Versace aesthetic. Evoking the sartorial savoir-faire of the Atelier, the fragrances are housed in entirely handmade packaging. The lighter, fresher fragrances are stored in clear glass glasses, while the more intense scents boast elegant black bottles. Made through an innovative twisting technique, the glass is embellished with the name of the fragrance written in gold tones. Handcrafted metal caps sport the three-dimensional Medusa motif. The sculptural bottles are packaged in paper boxes embellished with a hand-painted gold Greek key border. The boxes reveal a mirror that features the Atelier Versace logo painted in gold tones. Éclat de Rose was created by pioneering perfumer Nathalie Lorson, one of the first women to enter the perfumery field. Her goal is to create fragrances that resonate with both simplicity and high quality. Éclat de Rose begins with the centifolia rose from Morocco at the top, whose delicate flowers are hand-picked during the early morning hours and then quickly processed. A heart of cashmere wood is followed by a base of helvetolide and ambrox, a distinctive note revealing facets of amber, frankincense, wood, tobacco, and musk, which rounds out this elegant floral eau de parfum.
