Single malt scotch

Single Malt whisky represents the most traditional and full-bodied type of Scotch whisky, or Scotch, later extended worldwide to productions that draw on the oldest and most prestigious Scottish traditions, from Canadian whiskies to those of Taiwan, from those of India to Japanese whiskies. Whiskies made from only barley malt produced entirely in a single distillery belong to this category. They are usually made from a selection of distillates aged in oak casks between 8 and 25 years, with a requirement that the younger distillate used in blending must be aged on the label.
